About the Band
Overdrive is the official school band of The Newtown School, bringing together young musicians united by their passion for contemporary rock and progressive music. The band combines disciplined musicianship, expressive vocals, dynamic instrumentation, and a diverse repertoire spanning alternative rock to progressive metal.
From performing Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” to Dream Theater’s “Pull Me Under,” Overdrive aims to deliver technically accomplished, energetic, and engaging performances while nurturing creativity, teamwork, and musical excellence.
