About the Band
Rest for the Wicked is a band built on years of friendship, a shared passion for progressive music, and a determination to keep growing. Several members had already performed together in school bands and competitions, while others came together through previous musical collaborations, eventually bringing their experiences and talents together to form the band.
The current lineup features Jonathan Lun Chemjong on lead guitar, MD Shehroz Afzal on rhythm guitar, Anunay Evan Basumata on keyboards, Devanshu Pradhan on bass, Tanav Das on drums, and Zemirah Dechen Biswas on lead vocals.
The band has already made its mark, securing 1st Place at Battle of the Bands 2024, 3rd Place at Battle of the Bands 2025, and 1st Place at the City Centre Kanchenjunga Battle of the Bands 2025, along with performances at school events and Rockfests.
Looking ahead, Rest for the Wicked aims to move beyond covers and competitions, creating and recording original music while taking their sound to bigger stages. For them, this is only the beginning.
